ABOUT ORL

HOW DID THE VISION GROW TO A MOVEMENT?

Due to the phenomenal support from around the Globe, we had raised enough funds to cover the filming of the documentary and publishing of the book!  The encouragement and feedback has been amazing and we heard you when you said “We Want MORE”.

WE LISTENED & WE ARE GOING DEEPER!

We wanted to create an Inspiring Movement – One Red Lipstick. An empowering lipstick that looks good on absolutely every woman. That boldly states “It’s my turn, I’m ready, bring it on!” Red Lipstick has the power to make any women feel bold, fearless, and owning her own power.

'Red lipstick is a source of strength,’ says Poppy King, creator of Lipstick Queen. ‘You put it on and suddenly you feel more capable than you did without it.’

“That’s the thing about red lipstick – it’s a beautiful case of chicken and egg. It may require confidence to wear, but confidence can actually be a result of putting on red lipstick – and no one needs to know which comes first” Jessica B Matlin Remember when you started your business? It likely was an exciting but scary time.

So often we don’t know what we don’t know, and perhaps if we did, we would never have taken the plunge! More and more women are embarking on the entrepreneurial journey, and we are good at it, but it is all too easy to get discouraged as we encounter road blocks to our success.

So often we get in our own way of realizing the success we deserve. To help women overcome their fears and insecurity, we started by producing a film and publishing a companion book, plus the website which will be jam-packed with inspiring stories, practical tools and information, so they feel less isolated in their entrepreneurial pursuits and are empowered to not only stay the course, but exceed their goals.

But thats not where it ends! You will soon be able to catch the excitement of One Red Lipstick through online training, conferences, retreats, radio shows & live speaker training!

Courage & Strength for some comes from within

for some with the help of others One Red Lipstick wants to:

My mom always used to tell me, wake up put on some lipstick and be ready for whatever the world brings your way. I didn’t really understand what that meant until the world came crashing down around me. My dad had a brain aneurysm in 2009 and it has now left him fully disabled. Through my journey I have met incredibly talented women, all dealing with their own challenges, and all bravely moving forward to build their lives and businesses despite what was thrown at them. This is a film about their struggles, their truths, their success. This is their stories. My hope is to inspire women from around the globe to achieve success in their live and their businesses, and to let those women know just how they succeed too! Even when they don’t feel they ever will.

‘Red lipstick is a source of strength,’ says Poppy King, creator of Lipstick Queen. ‘You put it on and suddenly you feel more capable than you did without it.’ “That’s the thing about red lipstick – it’s a beautiful case of chicken and egg. The filmmaker’s father was left severely disabled after a brain stem stroke. At 17 she had a great deal of responsibilities thrown her way as her mom struggled to look after her dad as he fought for his life. She was running the house, caring for her four-year old brother, and applying to university. She saw first hand how the family had to start all over and build a brand new business just to pay the bills and keep things going, and along the way was exposed to incredible women doing the same thing. Spenser decided it was time to tell her generation some of those stories of turning challenge into success. We all need role models, women who have gone before us, and yes, faced their share of struggles, but have forged on to achieve and realize their dreams. This documentary, book and website will show the reality of becoming an “overnight success”. We don’t want the achievement to be sugar coated, because we all know it rarely happens that way. We want the book to be real, honest, authentic and most of all, inspiring. We have researched and brainstormed about women who are trailblazers – who have truly stepped boldly into their lives to grow a successful business.
